    Huge fan of Toms work. I still find it interesting there's still the long ago rumor, that Nikki had some help writing Shout with a possible ghost writer. It was extremely common in those days, i.e Dee Snider. It's been said he never wrote songs ever like that again, and seems a bit unbelievable if you listen to them now. Not "Looks that Kill", that's a stolen Judas Priest/Saxon riff but, others like "Too Young to Fall In Love", and ""Danger" Who knows. Its not something Tom Werman would discuss anyways. People said Nikki certainly did not play bass on Shout either, even though Tom denied it. Greg Leon said 100% he saw a stand- in, in the studio during "Theatre", and that it was not Sixx, and of course the weird Matthew Tripp story.

    You know a producer has nothing to do with the songs. When you compliment the album because of the “songs” it’s not a compliment. A producer has to do with sonic production, maybe arrangement, performance, other things like that.

    Dee Snider just popped up on my youtube feed. I read the comment that set it off. Dee made it clear that he was criticizing the decision to reuse Ace and Peter's makeup and that he had a good opinion whenever they developed new makeup. It was that aspect alone he took issue with. I think he is right. Dee has done more for rock and roll than Paul Stanley ever will. He took the banner into battle in the censorship war in congress. Kiss is a mind numbing party song band. I don't think they have done a song that wasn't about sex or women. These weren't very deep artists. Even the hair bands had an occaisional song about something else.

    I wrote for Music Connection magazine from '86-'89 & did a story on Kenny's career there. I didn't know he had passed away for years & decided to look up more into what happened. I appreciate hearing this interview where he sounded like his usual self & it's hard to believe he died just 2 months later. But Jesus, a clue: After asking someone a question, kindly shut up & let them answer it. I gave up counting how many times you stepped over what sounded like an interesting answer & we'll never know what Kenny would've said had you not (again) interrupted him.

    Paul Stanley is really talented, but I don't take his opinion of others with a grain of salt. Vinnie wrote messages on My Space. Dee's right, he doesn't have a problem with anyone. He's good mannered. He's sweet. I don't know why Paul Stanley attacked Dee Snider, but there are many people who feel the Kiss make-up is part of Ace's character. Paul shouldn't fight over this. That's half their fans. Paul takes things too personal, then he strikes back one thousand fold, and it's a behavior. Paul has missed the bigger picture here, which is fans can have opinions different than his. It's not an attack on him or Kiss.

    Why does Eric Singer get a pass? He did the same thing. Singing Beth like Peter did, wearing Peter's makeup, and playing fake piano too. Eric is worse than Tommy in my opinion. Also Tommy had a career before hand with Black N Blue and he even played additional guitar on hot innthe shade (before Eric Singer even had anything to do with KISS) Eric Singer took the job while Eric Carr was still battling cancer, later got fired for the reunion tour, got pissy about it but wasn't long rejoining and putting on Peter's makeup when Gene and Paul told him too! ...Eric doesn't deserve a pass at all! Scab KISS with two imposters is lame i agree but don't put all of that on Tommy! It wasn't his decision! It was Gene and Paul who made him, as for Eric he was was already fired once but crawed back and did what his masters said and defends it! So don't give him a pass!!

    Is that Def Leopard with a sprinkle of sugar a big deal? The difference is that Europe is much more successful now outside of America because here we value them much more than America, because there they are only interested in TFC to this day and logically the gang does not go there! Europe were very successful for the end of the 80s, they sold 10 million copies for 3 albums, they did super concerts from 86 to 90. They played better than most American bands, but the media just buried them on purpose. Epic Records didn't protect them but pushed them because they weren't from America or England.. But from Sweden where there was no rock and they were the first... I don't think Def Leopard were a good live band back then. It's just that the management was behind them tightly. I don't know why you didn't like Europe strangely..

    Crazy Nights used to be considered a real Metal album. It wasn't for the same fanbase as Def Leppard - Pyromania.

  • @Hecatecrossways
    @Hecatecrossways 10 месяцев назад

    I don't know why everyone is trying to call Crazy Nights Pop Metal in the new millennium. Crazy Nights has a more distorted in your face guitar tone than any of the Tygers of Pantang albums, and there's no weak non Metal songs like Euthanasia on Crazy Nights, no ballads like Spellbound. The only thing that is different on Crazy Nights is the Vocals are less aggressive. Jess Cox had a pretty limited Voice on Wild Cat, but he sounded much better in his solo career, which was ironically pretty Commercial.

  • @Hecatecrossways
    @Hecatecrossways 10 месяцев назад

    Hate to break the news to you, but both Spellbound, as as Crazy Nights are both Heavier than Wild Cat. All 3 albums are 100% Heavy Metal, no Pop tunes. If anything Crazy Nights is the Heaviest of the 3. Running Out of Time is the Heaviest Tygers of Pantang song. The Cage is AOR, but it's not annoying like Wreck - Age which is pure sugary Bubblegum Pop music. Compared to Thrash NWOBHM acts like Jaguar, and Holocaust the Tygers regression wasn't so drastic . Diamond Head with the Alternative Light Rock Canterbury. Jaguar not only sounded like Duran, Duran on This Time. They actually looked like Duran Duran ( but even less cool )
